Kangaroo meat is deemed to be a healthy option for it comes directly from Queensland’s pastures and Northern Territory (Australia), one of the less polluted areas in the world.
There, you cannot find breeding farms and the marsupials are free to run through the Australian pastures. Tasty, but with a delicate flavour, Kangaroo meat is red and contains a very low percentage of fat.
This meat has a very low amount of cholesterol (55 milligrams / hectogram), less than all other farm animals (70 milligrams / hectogram), including chicken. It is therefore highly recommended to those who need to follow a strict diet.
The meat has only 1 gram of fats for hectogram compared to the 16 grams of bovine meat, 6 grams in pig meat and 3 grams in chicken.
